Navodaya Dental College, under NAAC Criteria III, organized a Guest Lecture on “The Future of Dentistry in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” on 9th June 2026 at S. R. Hegde Hall. The session aimed to provide faculty members, postgraduate students, interns, and undergraduate students with insights into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern dentistry and its potential to revolutionize oral healthcare delivery.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. M. S. Nishanth, Postgraduate Student, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, who welcomed Shri S. R. Reddy, Honorable Chairman, NET; Dr. Amruth Reddy, Director of Operations, NET; Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, NET; Dr. Ram Mohan Gupta, Director of Academics & Research, NET; Dr. Girish Katti, Principal, Navodaya Dental College; Mr. Uma Desu, Distinguished Guest Speaker; faculty members; and students.
The speaker’s expertise and contributions to the field were highlighted by Dr. Neha Kini, Postgraduate Student, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics. This was followed by a floral welcome to the Guest Speaker by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Professor, Department of Orthodontics, and an informative and engaging lecture session.
The Guest Speaker, Mr. Uma Desu, an eminent expert in the field of healthcare technology, delivered an insightful lecture on the integration of Artificial Intelligence in dental practice.
