World AIDS Day 2025 Awareness Rally at Navodaya Dental College, Raichur
WORLD AIDS DAY is dedicated to create awareness of the HIV/AIDS in the minds of the people all over the world on 1st of December every year. World AIDS Day 2025 observance under the theme “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response” and highlighted the national progress on AIDS control. Proper education on preventing AIDS would also be pivotal in its achievement. Department of public health dentistry, Navodaya Dental College along with sister institutes of NET, organized a rally in collaboration with District Health Office of Raichur. The rally was inaugurated by district judge and at DHO office around 10.00am on Monday 1nd of December 2025 by Hanumanth Satvik, Dist Judge quoted   the importance of taking steps to prevent AIDS in Karnataka followed by District Health Officer, Surendra Babu mentioned the prevelence of active cases in Raichur.
The rally covered all the important places like Gandhi Chouk, Mahaveer circle, Theen Khandil circle and ended up in DHO office at 1.15 noon and around 100 students of our college participated in the rally. The team of interns and first year student of Navodaya Dental College performed the awareness skit at Theenkanthil and was well applauded by general public.  Dr. Suresh Babu A M, Prof. & Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry, Dr.Zaheer Ahmed, Profesor,Dr.Kiran Kumar,Associate  Professor, Dr.Nasi Ismail, Assistant Professor, along with interns and first year students attended the rally.
