As a part of International Women’s Day Celebration, “Navosthri” Women’s Cell of Navodaya Dental College, Celebrated Women’s Day on April 26th 2025 in S R Hegde Hall. Mrs. Swathi Reddy Mam, Trustee, NET, Chief Guest for the Program has graced the Occasion.
The event started with the Invocation Song by Ms. Manasvini H, 1st year BDS student. Welcome Address by Dr. Vanishree M, HOD, Dept of Oral Pathology, NDC. Followed by Presentation of Samplings to the dignitaries. Inauguration of program was done by Watering the Plant. Dr. Chandrika G Katti, Professor, Department of Orthodontics, NDC has graciously introduced the Chief Guest, Mrs. Swathi Reddy Mam, Trustee, NET. Chief Guest- Mrs. Swathi Reddy Madam has addressed the gathering by a delightful speech. Dr. Girish Katti, Principal, NDC has addressed the gathering with his ever-encouraging words and thanked the Chief Guest for accepting the invitation and gracing the occasion.
There was an overwhelming Felicitation ceremony to the Chief Guest, Mrs. Swathi Reddy Mam, Trustee, NET. Dr. K M Parveen Reddy, Associate Professor, Department of Paediatrics and Preventive dentistry, has thanked the whole gathering with her Vote of Thanks. At the end of inauguration function, the gathering raised for National Anthem.
The program extended with enjoyable events performed by students. Firstly, 2nd year BDS students, Ms. Himanshi Pal and Ms. Lakshmi Rajeev, portrayed the “Journey of a Women” by an Amazing “Act”. Interns, Dr. Manvitha and Dr. Charishma have displayed an excellent video of all the staff & students with the Theme on “Accelerate Action”. 2nd year BDS students have performed an outstanding Skit to enact the importance of Women and difficulties faced by them by reversing the role of male and Female. Ms. Samreen and Ms. Lakshmi Rajeev has melodiously sung few songs depicting the position of Women in Society. This was Followed by an Awareness Talk on HPV- Vaccination by Dr. Anila K, Associate Professor, Department of Oral Pathology, NDC.
