REPORT:
Oral PMD & Cancer Screening  Camp was organized by Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Navodaya Dental College, Raichur on the occasion of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology Day for the workers in Maruti Ispat & Energy Pvt Ltd, a steel factory situated in Madhavaram to screen Oral Potentially malignant disorders (PMD) and Oral cancer. Total of 71 patients were screened, among them 4 were Oral Sub Mucous Fibrosis cases and 5 cases were Leukoplakia. These patients were prescribed antioxidants. Oral Cancer educational awareness was created among the workers. 4 Interns and 4 Final year BDS students were participated in the screening camp. Patients were referred to Navodaya Dental College for further needful treatment.
