Inauguration Ceremony of Dental Undergraduates and Postgraduates 2025–26

Navodaya Dental College organized the Dental Inauguration Ceremony 2025 for the 20th batch of Undergraduates and the 15th batch of Postgraduates for the academic year 2025–26. The ceremony was held on 29th October 2025 at Dr. S. R. Hegde Silver Jubilee Auditorium, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur.
The event was followed by a Three-Day Orientation Program, which included motivational sessions, subject introductions, campus orientation, skill lab training, and interactive discussions aimed at helping students adapt to their new academic journey.

DAY 1: INAUGURAL FUNCTION – 29TH OCTOBER 2025

The first day of the Dental Inauguration Ceremony 2025 was attended by distinguished guests, faculty members, and the new batch of students.

The lamp lighting ceremony was performed by the Chief Guest, who stressed the importance of professional ethics, empathy, and dedication in dental education.

⭐ DAY 2: ORIENTATION SESSIONS – 30TH OCTOBER 2025

Day 2 focused on introducing students to department-wise subjects and academic expectations.

Respective department faculty explained the 1st to 4th year BDS subjects to the new students.

Guest Lecture

Speaker: Dr. Manasa N, Senior Resident, Department of Psychiatry, NMC
Topic: Management of Time and Stress during Professional Journey

She discussed:

• SMART goal setting

• Effective daily planning

• Coping with stress

• Emotional intelligence

• Recognizing triggers

• Seeking help and support

Department Visit

In the afternoon, students were taken for a guided department tour.

DAY 3: SKILL LAB ORIENTATION – 31ST OCTOBER 2025

The final day featured a detailed Skill Lab Orientation at Navodaya Medical College.

About the Skill Lab

Students were introduced to:

• Realistic clinical rooms

• Manikins and practice equipment

• Procedures for safe practice

• Communication skills and teamwork

• Patient-safety–focused training

A total of 90 new undergraduate students participated.
