The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Navodaya Dental College successfully conducted a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) Programme and Hands-on Workshop titled “The Third Eye in Endodontics: Magnification in Endodontic Management of Complex Cases.”

The keynote speaker, Dr. Kranthi Raja K, Adjunct Professor at MASHA University, Malaysia, delivered an insightful lecture on the role of magnification in performing complex root canal treatments. He also conducted a hands-on workshop using 7 dental microscopes for over 125 participants, including undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and faculty members from Navodaya Dental College and neighboring dental institutions across the Kalyana Karnataka region.

The event began with the inauguration ceremony, symbolized by the watering of a plant. Dr. Girish Katti, Principal, Navodaya Dental College, presided as the organizing chairperson and shared valuable insights on advancements in dentistry and how technology has enhanced treatment outcomes.

Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, NET, delivered the Chief Guest address emphasizing the importance of magnification in root canal therapy. Dr. S. Devanand, Dean, Navodaya Medical College, also shared his views on improving root canal treatment quality using advanced equipment.

The programme included a welcome address by Dr. S.V. Satish, HOD, introduction of the resource person by Dr. Suresh Kumar, and a vote of thanks presented by Dr. Aswini Patil, Dr. Basan Gouda, and Dr. Lakshmi Priya.

The event received immense appreciation from the Honourable Chairman, Sri S.R. Reddy Sir, NET, and all participants, making it a memorable academic experience for the dental fraternity
