Career Guidance Programme in Association with Atlas Dental Scholars
A Career Guidance Programme was successfully conducted at Navodaya Dental College & Hospital in association with Atlas Dental Scholars on 22 September 2026, organized by NAAC Criteria V for the students, interns and postgraduate students of the institution.
The programme commenced with a Welcome Speech by Dr. Kiran Kumar K R, Professor, Dept. of Oral Medicine and Radiology, NAAC Criteria V Memberwho warmly welcomed the keynote speaker, faculty members and students and also introduced Esteemed Speaker to the audience and set the context for the programme.
This was followed by an Address to the Gathering by Dr. Prahlad Saraf, Principal, Navodaya Dental College and Hospital, who highlighted the importance of career planning and encouraged the students to make use of the opportunities and guidance provided through such programme.
The programme featured Dr. Lakhvinder Pal Singh from Atlas Dental Scholars as the Keynote Speaker. The session focused on various career opportunities and professional pathways available to dental graduates and postgraduates. Dr. Lakhvinder Pal Singh shared valuable insights from his experience and provided guidance to help students explore and plan their future careers.
The highlight of the session was the discussion on international career pathways, including opportunities and possible routes for pursuing higher education, professional practice and career development in countries like Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, USA, New Zealand and various arab countries. The speaker also provided insights into the general requirements and pathways that students need to explore when considering an international career.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the faculty members, students. The interactive session provided an opportunity for participants to gain greater awareness about the diverse career options available beyond conventional clinical practice
The association with Atlas Dental Scholars added valuable professional exposure and made the programme an enriching experience for the participants.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Malashri N Ghatke , Assistant Professor, Dept. of Oral Medicine and Radiology, NAAC Criteria V Member, who expressed gratitude to dignitaries, keynote speaker, faculty members, student and organizing and support teams for their valuable contribution to the successful conduct of the programme. The programme was brought to an end by Feedback from students, followed by high tea.
Overall, the Career Guidance Programme was a meaningful and informative initiative aimed at empowering students with knowledge, awareness and confidence to make informed career choices.
