CDE Programme and Hands-on Workshop “Mastering the Prosthetic Management of Tilted Implants”

The Department of Prosthodontics, Crown & Bridge Including Implantology, Navodaya Dental College & Hospital, Raichur, successfully organized a one-day Continuing Dental Education (CDE) Programme and Hands-on Workshop on “Mastering the Prosthetic Management of Tilted Implants” on 17 June 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, Navodaya Education Trust. During his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of continuing dental education and practical training in enhancing clinical competence among dental professionals. He appreciated the efforts of the Department of Prosthodontics in organizing a focused workshop on tilted implant rehabilitation and encouraged students and practitioners to actively participate in such academic activities.
Dr. Girish Katti, Principal, Navodaya Dental College & Hospital, presided over the programme and encouraged participants to actively engage in academic activities that enhance clinical competence.
The scientific sessions were conducted by eminent resource persons Dr. Siddhardh S. P. Behera, Professor and Head, Department of Prosthodontics and In-Charge of Oral Implantology, S.B. Patil Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Bidar, and Dr. Prakash Nidawani, Former President, Indian Prosthodontic Society, Karnataka State Branch.
The programme covered various aspects of prosthetic rehabilitation of tilted implants, including treatment planning, Multi-Unit Abutment selection, impression techniques, prosthetic considerations, and clinical management. The lectures were followed by interactive discussions, enabling participants to clarify clinical doubts and exchange ideas.
A hands-on workshop was conducted in the afternoon session, where participants received practical training on Multi-Unit Abutment selection and handling, impression procedures, and prosthetic protocols related to tilted implant restorations. The workshop provided valuable clinical exposure and enhanced participants’ practical skills.
Dr. S. R. Reddy, Chairman, Navodaya Education Trust, and Dr. Amrith Reddy, Director of Operations, Navodaya Dental College & Hospital, conveyed their best wishes and highlighted the importance of continuing education and skill enhancement in modern dental practice.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 80 delegates, including faculty members, postgraduate students, interns, and practicing clinicians from Raichur and surrounding regions. The active participation and positive feedback received from attendees reflected the academic value and success of the programme.
