The Department of Prosthodontics, Navodaya Dental College, successfully organized a CDE and Hands-on Workshop on “Implantology Demystified” on 7th January 2026 at Navodaya Dental College, Raichur.
The academic program featured Dr. Jugal Patel, an expert in implantology, as the Guest Speaker. He delivered an informative and clinically relevant lecture on contemporary implantology, followed by a hands-on workshop that significantly enhanced the participants practical understanding and clinical insight.
The program was graced by Dr. Amruth Reddy, Director of Operations, NET and Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, NET as Guests of Honour. The function was presided over by Dr. Girish Katti, Principal, Navodaya Dental College. The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Girish Galgali, Professor & HOD, Department of Prosthodontics as Organising Chairman and Dr. Prakash Nidawani, Professor, Department of Prosthodontics as Organising Secretary.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Satyanarayana Naik, Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, speaker and participants. This was followed by the introduction of the Guest Speaker by Dr. Rakshit BM, Assistant Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, who highlighted Dr. Jugal Patel’s academic achievements and expertise in implantology.
During the inaugural session, Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, NET addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of continuous dental education and skill-based training in enhancing clinical competence.
Dr. Girish Katti, Principal, Navodaya Dental College, spoke on the occasion, encouraged students and faculty members to actively participate in academic initiatives to keep pace with the rapid advancements in dental science.
The organizers gratefully acknowledged the constant encouragement and support extended by Shri S. R. Reddy, Chairman, NET, whose guidance and patronage played a significant role in the successful conduct of the CDE program.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from 100 delegates, including interns, postgraduate students and faculty members of the college. The workshop was highly appreciated for its academic value, clinical relevance and effective hands-on learning experience.
Logistic support for the CDE and hands-on workshop was provided by Refirm Dental Implants, which contributed significantly to the smooth and successful execution of the program.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Rizwana Anjum, Assistant Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, expressed gratitude to the management, dignitaries, speaker, organizers, participants and all contributors.
The program concluded on a successful note, reinforcing the Department of Prosthodontics’ commitment to promoting continuing dental education and professional excellence. The programme was well appreciated by our Honourable Chairman Shri. S.R Reddy Sir, NET.
